Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Buffalo police are investigating a shots fired call that came in at the Tops Friendly Market on Jefferson Avenue on Buffalo's East Side this past Saturday afternoon.
Officers were at the scene at 3:05 p.m. Police say multiple vehicles allegedly shot at each other in the store's parking lot before fleeing.
Three vehicles have been impounded. and several people have been interviewed as the investigation continues.
It's the second incident involving a gun at the store in recent months.
Back on June 17, two men were arrested after being caught on store surveillance cameras passing a gun back-and-forth inside the store. Details of the incident weren't released until 10 days after the fact.
Both men involved in that incident, 35-year-old Avello Pena of Tonawanda and 39-year-old Ronnie Midgett of Buffalo, have pled guilty for possession of illegal guns.
This was the Tops location at the center of the racially motivated mass shooting in Buffalo nearly four years ago on May 14, 2022 that killed 10 Black people and wounded three others.
