Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Buffalo Police have arrested 61-year-old Isidoro Ortiz of Buffalo following a fight on Humboldt Parkway this past Saturday.
Officers arrived at the scene in the afternoon hours on Saturday to find only blood scattered about, but found no victim.
Police say during an argument, Ortiz allegedly used a machete-like weapon and slashed the 48-year-old victim on his right wrist.
Detectives determined the victim fled the scene, running to Sisters of Charity Hospital for treatment.
A search warrant was conducted on Ortiz's apartment where officers found the weapon, as well as suspected crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
Ortiz has been charged with two felonies, including Assault in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fifth Degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Ortiz also faces misdemeanor charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree and Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree.
