Buffalo, NY (WBEN) Bitter wind chills in the forecast Friday are prompting Buffalo Public Schools to go to cancel classes on Friday after initially going to remote learning.
In a statement the district says all students and staff are to stay home.
Additionally, there will be no Saturday Community School, My Brother's Keeper or other school activities on Saturday. Athletic competitions on Friday are canceled.
The Saturday Sectional Indoor Track competition at Houghton and Buffalo State will still be held and the district's track athletes will participate.
The district plans to return to normal operations Monday.
Earlier Thursday the district announced it would operate with remote learning Friday, but the decision was changed to the closure shortly after.
