Cheektowaga, NY (WBEN) Cheektowaga Police arrested 19 year old Jakyia Williams of Buffalo Monday after a domestic situation in the parking lot of the Thruway Plaza Burger King on Harlem Rd. in Cheektowaga.

Police were dispatched to the Sister's of Charity Hospital St. Joseph's Campus at around 8pm Monday night for a report of a man with a stab wound. Police say 21 year old Waylan Frears told them he set up a meeting with Williams, his ex-girlfriend, so she could pay him for the tires of his car she reportedly slashed.

Frears reported that after Williams gave him money through his open car window, she stabbed in in the chest as he sat in his car. Police say witnesses corroborated his story.

Frears drove himself to the hospital where he received stitches and was later released. After a short investigation Williams was located by Cheektowaga detectives who say she was cooperative. Police say they found a folding knife with a 3 1/2" blade on her.

Williams is charged with attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

Williams was held for arraignment.
