Buffalo woman convicted of 2022 murder

Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Erie County Court Judge Kenneth Case has found 31-year-old Jasmine M. Craig of Buffalo guilty of one count of second degree murder. Judge Case rendered his decision this morning following a four-day, non-jury trial that occurred last week.

On August 22, 2022 at approximately 12:35 a.m. EST, Craig intentionally shot the victim, 30-year-old Lameshea Sanders, in the head. Sanders was found lying in the street outside of her residence on Berkshire Avenue near Parkridge Avenue in the City of Buffalo. Sanders died at the scene.


Craig faces a maximum of 25 years-to-life in prison when she is sentenced on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 2 p.m. EST. She continues to be held without bail.
