Busy Amherst intersection flooded

Amherst, N.Y. (WBEN) - Late afternoon commuters in Amherst were faced with delays at one of the town's busiest intersections.

A water main break, reported late Thursday afternoon, at the intersection of Maple Road and North Forest Road, created another traffic headache in a part of the town that is already dealing with seasonal road closures and bridge repairs

The intersection remained open by drivers were limited to single lanes as the navigated their way around the water main break.

Crews from the Erie County Water Authority and Town of Amherst were on scene.
