Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - It was a busy day for police in the City of Niagara Falls on Saturday.

Niagara Falls Police is looking for a suspect who shot a 28-year-old male on Saturday. The shooting took place near the 7-Eleven at 15th Street and Pine Avenue.


The victim was shot a number of times and was taken to Erie County Medical Center, where he underwent surgery and, at last report, was in critical condition.

In addition, Niagara Falls Police were involved in a two-hour standoff late Saturday afternoon in the 2500 block of Pine Avenue.

They had been trying to arrest 37-year-old Curtis Griggs for his involvement in a shooting back on April 4 on 19th Street.

Griggs finally surrendered to police, and will be arraigned Monday morning in Niagara Falls.
