Buffalo, NY (WBEN) Rapper-actor DMX has died at the age of 50 from a heart attack.
DMX had his share of legal troubles, including some here in Buffalo. His WNY attorney recalls his working with DMX.
Attorney Paul Cambria represented DMX in a marijuana possession case in 2001, and the charge was eventually dismissed.
"He was delightful to work with, very mature, very cooperative," says Cambria. "I know a lot of people, my children included, are going to miss his entertainment from the standpoint of his music and movie abilities. It's just too bad people in the entertainment industry and people who have access to a lot of funds succumb to drugs or alcohol. It's not a good situation but it's happening forever."
Cambria recalled DMX as professional, understanding, and mature in his legal dealings. He also was in touch with DMX in later years. "Nothing criminal, but other issues, but we stayed in touch." He says it's sad to hear how DMX's life ended.
