Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) With the Buffalo Sabres in the Stanley Cup playoffs for the first time in 14 years, the team has announced plans for fans to watch and cheer on the team during home games if they do not have tickets.
The team is calling the event the “Sabrehood Block Party.” It will begin with a pregame “Party in the Plaza” outside KeyBank Center featuring music, alumni, food and drinks, followed by a watch party at Canalside.
The Canalside events will include large-screen showings of the game, onstage entertainment, and food and beer trucks. The watch parties will be free.
The team also said it plans to host parties for select road playoff games. Details have not yet been announced.
