North Tonawanda, N.Y. (WBEN) - Firefighters were called to a home on the 400 block of Robinson Street in North Tonawanda on Wednesday after a driver crashed into the front of the house just before 7 p.m.
When emergency crews arrived, the driver - the only occupant of the vehicle - was still inside. North Tonawanda firefighters and police officers pried open the driver’s door to help the person escape.
Niagara County Emergency Services Technical Rescue stabilized the house until permanent repairs could be made.
North Tonawanda Professional Firefighters Local 1333 posted about the incident on Facebook, calling it “a complex call that utilized cooperation of multiple agencies and specialized units working together for a positive outcome.”
No one inside the home was injured.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
