Cheektowaga, N.Y. (WBEN) - Cheektowaga police have confirmed new details about an abduction that happened outside of the Walden Galleria Mall on Sept. 23.

Police tell WBEN the female victim was leaving the mall and heading to her car when "at least" two people held her at gunpoint and forced the victim into her car. Police say the victim and the suspects did not know each other.


The kidnappers forced the victim to drive while another car belonging to the suspects followed behind. The suspects tried to get the victim to make an ATM withdrawal but she refused.

Police say the suspects made the victim stop behind Jim's Truck Plaza on Walden Avenue, where they took her belongings and drove away in their own vehicle.

Police say a vehicle has been seized. The investigation is still ongoing.
