Hartland, N.Y. (WBEN) - A child is in critical condition at Oishei Children's Hospital's ICU in Buffalo after being rescued from beneath a vehicle on Monday afternoon in the Town of Hartland in Niagara County.
The Niagara County Sheriff's Office says deputies arrived at a home on Ellicott Road, where the child was found unconscious and trapped under the vehicle. Deputies, EMS personnel, law enforcement and neighbors all worked together to free the child from under the vehicle.
The child was taken to the hospital by Mercy Flight.
Authorities say the incident appears to be accidental. An investigation is ongoing.
