(WBEN) - It's that time of year, when College graduates are about to head into the workforce.

Many of them have a big deadline hanging over their heads.

"The clock is ticking," said Jill Schlesinger of Jill on Money. "You have six months before your first student loan payment kicks in."
With that clock ticking, Schlesinger had some advice for job seekers.

"Use every connection you have, family, family friends," Schlesinger said. "Just get a good job. There's no 'Dream Job,' every job has its ups and downs... You're going to learn new skills you're going to find people and build your network."

She added that switching jobs multiple times in your first few years out of college is no longer viewed as a red flag by employers, rather as a smart move by someone looking to get ahead.
