(WBEN Buffalo, NY) The numbers concerning coronavirus continue to improve in New York State. Numbers released yesterday from Friday show the 7-day state-wide positivity rate at 2.36 percent. In fact on Friday, it was just 1.72-percent.
Here in Western New York the 7-day rate 4.66-percent. Erie County showed 140 new cases on Friday. Niagara County has 27.
Erie County also had 2 more deaths from Covid on Friday.

Governor Kathy Hochul today (Saturday) updated New Yorkers on the state's progress combating COVID-19.
"As we continue to see hospitalizations and cases decrease, I want to thank New Yorkers who have been doing their part to keep each other safe," Governor Hochul said. "As New York continues to build back from the pandemic, I want to remind everyone how critically important it is to use the tools at our disposal and get vaccinated and boosted to ensure we continue our incredible progress as we head into the spring."
