Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Buffalo police responded to a deadly overnight crash in the city.at Jefferson Avenue and George Street.
Police say the vehicle involved had previously been reported stolen from the Town of Amherst on Aug. 30. West Seneca Police officers were pursuing the vehicle when the accident happened at around 1 a.m.
Four occupants of the vehicle were transported via AMR to Erie County Medical Center, and one was transported via AMR to Golisano Children’s Hospital of Buffalo.
Two of the occupants — a 16-year-old female and an 18-year-old male — died at ECMC several hours later. The other three remain in serious condition.
Pursuant to New York State Executive Law Section 70-b, the Buffalo Police Department will be working with the Office of the New York State Attorney General to determine the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident.
