BUFFALO, N.Y. (WBEN)......A nearly century-old house on one of Buffalo's most sought streets has become the 101st home, this year, to sell for more than $1 million.
In the latest deal:
A five-bedroom, 3,800-square-foot house at 114 Meadow Road sold for $1.35 million, just two years after it sold for $1.25 million. That means the value of the house rose 8% in just 24 months.
Built in 1929, the two-story Colonial-style house was on the market for less than one month.
Meadow Road - located near Delaware Park - is one of the most sought-after residential streets in Buffalo.
For Buffalo, the deal is the 15th - this year - where a private residence sold for more than $1 million.
Erie County is on pace to see a record 110 homes sell for north of $1 million, besting last year's record of 105 private residences going for north of the key $1 million benchmark.
The sale of homes going for $1 million or more is considered a key economic talking point within the region's residential real estate industry.
