Orchard Park, NY (WBEN) - A new two-part documentary series is set to take an inside look at the building of the new Bills stadium.
Building Buffalo will premiere on NFL Network the night of the team's home opener.
"We began about a year ago," said show Co-Director and Creator Andrea Purse. "We got to see what had been a slow and steady process turn into a 'We really got to put the pressure on.'"
Dion Dawkins is an executive producer on the project that follows the workers who carried on through extreme conditions to build the new stadium.
"We saw workers coming in for very long days under very tough conditions working to complete the stadium. There was so much dedication they brought to the work, and that was just amazing to see."
Thurman Thomas, Andre Reed, and other Bills past and present make appearances alongside fans and the workers who take center stage.
Building Buffalo episode one will premiere on NFL Network on September 17 at 7:00 PM. Episode two will air September 24. Both episodes will be available after they air on the ESPN App.
