Buffalo, NY (WBEN) A Buffalo man gets probation for killing a pedestrian in April.
75 year old Kaled Handal was sentenced to five years probation and the revocation of his driver's license after pleading guilty to leaving the scene of an incident resulting in death. On April 10th, Handal was driving a vehicle on Grant Street in the City of Buffalo when he hit 58 year old Luiman Velez near the intersection of West Ferry Street. After the collision, Handal continued to drive south on Grant Street without reporting the incident to police.
Velez, was taken by ambulance to Buffalo General Hospital where he later died two days later.
