
Lewiston, N.Y. (WBEN) - An early morning chase throughout Lewiston on Wednesday led to the arrest of a 36-year-old male from Niagara Falls.
The chase began at 12:43 a.m. ET when Fabian Carter II refused to yield to a Deputy's attempt to pull the vehicle over.
The chase stretched from the Town of Lewiston through Cambria when two tire deflation devices were deployed by responding deputies, shedding the vehicle's tires. Carter II continued driving on only the vehicle's rims before striking a stop sign at Ridge Road and Old Beebe Road.

Carter II then fled the vehicle and led authorities on a short chase on foot through the woods before being apprehended.
Carter II was charged with felony charges of Driving While Intoxicated and First Degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operation. He also received four misdemeanor charges.
He is being held at the Niagara County Correctional Facility awaiting arraignment.
