Williamsville, N.Y. (WBEN) - The Eastern Hills Auto Bureau is temporarily closed, as Erie County Clerk Mickey Kearns says there's a heating issue in the area where the auto bureau is located. The closure is temporary, but no date has been set for a reopening.
"The temperature in the office was 58 degrees on Saturday, and the environment is too cold for the staff to work in, as well as for our patrons," stated Kearns. "We apologize for the inconvenience. We are working with mall management to get the heating issue resolved as soon as quick as possible."
In the meantime, customers who currently have reservations at the Eastern Hills Mall Branch can utilize any Erie County Auto Bureau Branch and their appointment will be honored on that day and time.
Additionally, the Auto Bureau located in West Seneca will have extended hours on Saturdays while the Eastern Hills Mall location is not in operation. Beginning on Saturday, Dec. 21, the Southgate Plaza will be open 8 a.m.-to-3 p.m. EST until further notice.
