Buffalo, NY (WBEN) After helping Buffalo's University district two years ago, Eight Days of Hope returns to Buffalo today. The group's focus will be on the city's Masten District.

This year, it begins at 7:30 a.m. at All-High Stadium located behind Bennett High School. "It was an honor to serve the University District in 2019. We saw the local community, businesses, and churches show up in a mighty way—truly proving that Buffalo is the City of Good Neighbors," said Stephen Tybor III, EDOH President and CEO. "I'm proud to call this city home, even more so after seeing the impact of this outreach. We are beyond excited to be in the Masten District this year, and I cannot wait to see how the community comes together to love and serve those in need once again."

Tybor says they will be helping dozens of homeowners and their families. 'We'll be giving brand new roofs, installing new windows, painting 2,500 homes in the Masten District," says Tybor. He says volunteers from around the country will gather to give of their time and talents.

Tybor says working with city departments was easy and helpful in his efforts. "When you travel around the country, sometimes, there are bottlenecks. We didn't have that here," says Tybor.

Tybor says those who wish to volunteer any or all of the eight days should go to All High Stadium between 7am and 7:30am for a brief orientation, and be prepared to work until about 4:30pm.
