(WBEN) - An inmate at the Erie County Correctional Facility died late Friday after experiencing difficulty breathing, according to the Erie County Sheriff’s Office.
Darko Tabar, 74, was taken from the Alden facility to Erie County Medical Center on Friday. He died shortly before midnight, officials said.
Tabar had a documented history of cardiac issues.
He was arrested July 7 on charges of criminal contempt and endangering the welfare of a child.
The Erie County Sheriff’s Office said foul play is not suspected.
