BUFFALO, N.Y. (WBEN)......Erie County's run on homes selling for more than $1 million continues on a record-breaking pace.

Two more upscale homes - one near Delaware Park in Buffalo and the other in a trendy Amherst subdivision - have sold for north of $1 million.


The sales give Erie County 73 homes, this year, that have topped the $1 million mark.

In the latest deals:

* A six-bedroom house at 75 Nottingham Terrace - located across from Delaware Park - sold for $1.45 million.

The 4,700-square-foot house was constructed in 1951 and sold within days of its initial listing.

* A house at 84 Beresford Court in Amherst's Brompton Park subdivision sold for $1.125 milion.

Built in 1999, the 3,900-square-foot house has four bedrooms.

The sale of homes going for $1 million - or more - is considered a key economic indicator among the region's residential real estate industry.

Since 2024, more than 300 homes have sold with prices exceeding the $1 million sales mark.

Erie County, this year, is pacing to have a $1 million home sale recorded in the county clerk's office once every three days.

Last year, Erie County set a record with 105 home sales that exceeded the $1 million sales mark and this year, it is pacing for 108 $1 million-plus home sales.
