Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - The Buffalo Bills and Erie County are in the process of selling stadium seats from the current Highmark Stadium.

A full seat or double bleacher seat is listed at either $550 or $650 before shipping. That compares to the $10 fans paid for seats during a renovation in 1999.

"The theatre style seats, when you take them apart, only have one armrest so they would have to repair the seat and fabricate an armrest. And they also have to fabricate the legs so they are usable," said Erie County Legislator Jeanne Vinal with WBEN on Monday.

The seats are expected to be salvaged between February and May of 2026, along with the turf and the goalposts.

CollectibleXchange has partnered with the Bills to sell memorabilia from the stadium, including seats, signage, turt and fixtures. CollectibleXchange would do all of the fabrication and repairs. Money that's leftover would be split 50/50 with Erie County.

Orders will begin shipping in April and there will be a local pickup option.

Vinal explained why she voted for the deal.

"I was at the game [in 1988] when fans took down the goalposts [after the Bills clinched the AFC East title by beating the Jets]. Many of us feared that people would be ripping the seats out and tearing things down themselves, leading to unsafe conditions. We want to do it orderly so everybody has a chance to get seats," Vinal said.
