AMHERST, N.Y. (WBEN).......In two separate deals, a popular Amherst banquet hall has landed new owners and auto parts retailing behemoth, AutoZone, has acquired a West Side building and will be adding a new Buffalo location.

The deals:

* Fairdale Place LLC paid $1.3 million to acquire the Fairdale Banquet Hall that had been run by McPartlan's restaurant.

Fairdale Place will be re-opening the 8,368-square-foot building as a banquet hall, said Alan Hastings, a broker with Hunt Real Estate, who put the deal together.

Located at 672 Wehrle Drive - and just across from McPartlan's, the banquet hall closed in early 2025 and the McPartlan family put the property on the market late last year.

"It had a lot of interest," Hastings said.

* AutoZone Parts Inc. paid $1,985,200 for a vacant, 11,421-square-foot building at 289 W. Ferry Street on Buffalo's West Side.

After some minor renovations, the new AutoZone is expected to open by later this year.
