Hamburg, N.Y. (WBEN) - As the 2024 Erie County Fair winds down this weekend, there's a question that comes to mind: Does the end of the fair mean the end of summer in Western New York?
Most fairgoers say not quite yet. They tell us, for the most part, Labor Day is the end of summer in the region.
One mom, Charlene, is one that does believe the summer ends with the conclusion of the Erie County Fair.
"100%. Every year before we back to school, once the fair was here and gone, you got ready for school," said Charlene with WBEN.
The fair concludes on Sunday in Hamburg.
