(WBEN) Amherst Police report a fatal motorcycle crash Sunday morning just before 6 am on the 990 south off ramp at Audubon Parkway.
The 31 year old victim apparently left the roadway and hit the guardrail. His name is not being released at this time.
News Release:
[AMHERST, NEW YORK] -- On Sunday, June 13th, 2021 at approximately 5:40 AM the Amherst Police Department responded to a one motorcycle crash on the southbound I990 offramp to John James Audubon Pkwy. The motorcycle was southbound on the I990 offramp when it left the roadway and struck a guardrail. The 31 year old driver was pronounced dead at the scene from his injuries. The identification of the driver is being withheld pending proper notification to the family.
The Getzville Fire Department and Twin City Ambulance assisted at the crash scene.
The crash is currently under investigation. Investigators are looking for video and witnesses and are asking local residents or drivers, who may have security or dash-camera footage of the area or incident, to contact the Amherst Police Department at 689-1311.
