(WBEN) Buffalo police are investigating a fatal shooting incident that occurred Saturday evening just after 6pm in the first block of Sweeney Street.
Detectives say two males were struck by gunfire. A 23 year old Buffalo male was transported by ambulance to ECMC where he was later declared deceased. A 26 year old Buffalo male was driven to Buffalo General in a civilian vehicle. He was then transferred by ambulance to ECMC where he's listed in stable condition.

In addition Buffalo police are investigating an overnight shooting from Saturday morning.
It happened just after 3:30am in the 200 block of Strauss Street.
A 48 year old Buffalo male was struck by gunfire.
He was transported by ambulance to ECMC where he was initially listed in critical condition.
Niagara Falls officials on Saturday identified a person who was found bludgeoned to death in a local apartment as a 26-year-old man.
Police officers found Wayne Jackson II, of Niagara Falls, severely beaten early Friday morning while responding to a reported disturbance.
Another man found in the apartment, Nicholas Bartek, 33, was charged with murder. He pleaded not guilty on Friday and was held without bail pending further court proceedings, the Niagara Gazette reported. Online court records do not list an attorney for Bartek.
