Fireworks shot at police, EMTs during late Saturday disturbance on East Side

Two people were stabbed, suffering non-life-threatening injuries.

Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Police are investigating a disturbance that happened on Buffalo's East Side late Saturday in which fireworks were shot at police and paramedics.

Police arrived at the scene at Grider and East Delavan around 11:48 p.m. after receiving a call about juveniles fighting, partying and launching fireworks. At some point during the disturbance fireworks were launched at police and EMTs.

Pepper spray had to be used on the crowd.

Two people were stabbed, both sustaining non-life-threatening injuries.

There's no word of any arrests.
