Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Tuesday's rainfall and mild temperatures were just enough to again pose flooding threats in spots across Western New York.
This is especially significant along the Tonawanda Creek, as new Flood Warnings have been added at both Rapids and Batavia starting Wednesday evening.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Buffalo are saying minor flooding is occurring, especially in Batavia, and moderate flooding is forecasted.
The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in New York
Genesee River At Avon affecting Livingston and Monroe Counties.
Oatka Creek At Garbutt affecting Monroe and Genesee Counties.
Black Creek At Churchville affecting Monroe and Genesee Counties.
Tonawanda Creek At Rapids affecting Erie and Niagara Counties.

Rain and snowmelt led to rising levels on creeks and rivers. Flows in rivers will increase quickly and reach critical levels.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
