It is alleged that between April 2 and April 8, 2022, McKegney placed multiple phone calls and sent e-mails to the female victim, knowingly in violation of an existing order of protection issued by an Erie County Family Court Judge. The order of protection was issued on March 25, 2022.

McKegney was released on his own recognizance. The case is pending before Buffalo City Court Judge Diane Wray. He is scheduled to return on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. ET for further proceedings.

If convicted of the highest charge, McKegney faces a maximum sentence of four years in prison.
