Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - After a stunning come-from-behind win in Game 1, the Sabres will have to refocus for Game 2 in their first round series against the Boston Bruins.

Buffalo scored four times in the final eight minutes of Sunday's game to beat the Bruins 4-3 and take a 1-0 series lead. Head Coach Lindy Ruff spoke Monday about moving on to the next game after such an emotional high.

"You look at the game, how physical the game was, how demanding it was late to come back and win the game. Emotionally you got to decompress," Ruff said Monday.

Buffalo didn't practice Monday. Ruff said he wanted his players to get as much rest as possible after experiencing such a high Sunday. The Sabres will be back on the ice Tuesday morning.

Can Buffalo control the pace again?

Buffalo outshot Boston 38-20 in Game 1. They dominated puck possession despite being stifled by the Bruins on defense for the game's first 52 minutes.

"We talked about after the 2nd period just staying with our game," Ruff said Monday. "We really want to focus on our game. We know what the strengths of their game is and they know what the strength of ours is. We feel that the longer we can stay with our game the better the chances we can win a hockey game."

Who's banging the drum?

Sandra Jeanneret, wife of late Sabres play-by-play man Rick Jeanneret, got the crowd on its feet Sunday when she led the "Let's Go Buffalo" chant just before puck drop.

Sabres and Bills President of Business Operations, Pete Guelli, dropped a hint on X Monday that a "special guest" will lead the chant Tuesday.

Could it be Josh Allen? That's what fans started guessing in Guelli's replies. Josh is in town and spoke Monday in all Sabres gear. Allen said he's "hoping to" be at Game 2.

"Plan on it," Allen said with a smile. We won't know until pregame, of course, who that surprise is.

The Sabres and Bruins will take the ice at 7:30 Tuesday evening at KeyBank Center. Puck drop should be around 7:40.
