Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - There's a lot of kicking and screaming going on after the latest iOS update from Apple. iOS 26.2 is angering and confusing a lot of users.

Some say it's akin to waking up in a new world. Complaints include slow speed, swipes to nowhere, difficulty posting photos and switching tabs in the browser, or finding the search function in email; plus dwindling battery life.

"It's liquid glass. They changed the whole interface to be more modern, but it's a departure from what people are used to," said Garret Cleversley, President of MacSolutions Plus in East Amherst.

Cleversley told WBEN he's hearing complaints from users "all day long".

"I don't want to pick on the older crowd, but folks who didn't grow up with technology don't like the change. They want it back to what they're used to," Cleversley said.

He said you can always revert back to your original interface.

"Go to settings, followed by Accessibility, Display and Text size. Turn on Reduced transparency," Cleversley explained.

It changes the phone to its previous look, but there are some things that you can't change.

"After 20 years of the iPhone and clicking in one spot, you have to retrain your brain to click in a different spot. It's a struggle," he added.

If enough people complain, would Apple walk it back?

"They have before," said Cleversley. "But I don't see it happening with iOS 26.
