Buffalo, NY (WBEN) The haze has prompted several changes to today's schedules of events and shifted work plans.
Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz ordered outdoor workers to shift to indoor duties.
Due to deteriorating air quality conditions, I have ordered all @ErieCountyNY employees who work outside to stop work and to return to their indoor work sites for the day.

The city of Buffalo has announced the closure of outdoor swimming pools and splash pads for the day because of the smoky air. The Cazenovia pool indoors is open.
Williamsville's Old Home Days is delayed until 5pm. Williamsville Central Schools is moving outdoor activities indoors.
Lancaster's outdoor activities are canceled.
