Hughes issued this statement: “It has been an honor and privilege to be on the Kaleida Health team, to be able to tell the organization’s story in our community and to help advocate for the 10,000 strong who make up this great organization.

“While this was not an easy decision, I am confident now is the right time to hang up my Kaleida Health jersey. I still have plenty of gas left in the tank. And lot of other things that I want to do. We have time to figure that out.

“Right now, it’s gratitude for having the opportunity to serve this organization for the past 20 years.”
