(WBEN) - Emergency responders, including the North Tonawanda Fire Department, responded to a head-on jet ski crash in the Niagara River near Gratwick Park on Saturday.
The crash happened shortly before 3 p.m. during the busy Canal Fest.
North Tonawanda Firefighters Local 1333 said two jet skis, each carrying two people, collided head-on. Two passengers, both children, were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The Air Base Fire Department and Twin City Ambulance also responded.
As crews were clearing the scene at Gratwick Park, first responders were called to a three-car crash on River Road. Those injuries were reported as minor.
