Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550/WBEN) – In January of 2023, John Roth was hired as chief operating officer (COO) of Pegula Sports and Entertainment, as well as the Buffalo Sabres.

He has since disbanded PSE, and I have now confirmed that Roth is no longer with the Sabres or the Buffalo Bills. The news was first reported by Tim Graham from The Athletic.

In July, Ron Raccuia was fired by the Bills, and owner Terry Pegula added executive vice president and COO of the Bills to Roth's duties.

Graham also reports the Bills' general counsel and senior vice president of business administration, Kathryn D’Angelo is also no longer with the team. She was promoted by Pegula in April of 2023.

Roth served as D’Angelo’s boss.

The search is on for their replacements.
