Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - The outbound Kensington Expressway, Route 33, in Buffalo remained closed for hours after a tractor trailer carrying a piece of construction equipment struck the Dodge Street overpass.
The stretch of highway was finally reopened late Wednesday night after engineers surveyed the structural integrity of the bridge.
All lanes were quickly closed following the incident and an extensive cleanup operation was underway.
The incident occurred at the same time Buffalo Fire and Police were responding to the massive fire on Main Street in Buffalo.
