Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - The Erie County Sheriff's Office has announced the arrest of a 53-year-old Lackawanna man following a multi-agency raid of his residence on Tuesday.
The Erie County Sheriff's Narcotics and Intelligence Unit, the FBI Safe Streets Task Force, and Lackawanna Police joined the Buffalo Police Intelligence Unit and its SWAT Team to execute a search warrant of Christopher Plandowski's property at 1419 Electric Avenue.
During the search, officers recovered a stolen .380 auto handgun, a Polymer 80 9mm handgun (a ghost gun), an AR-style rifle with a 3D printed receiver with no serial number, an AR-style rifle with a defaced serial number, and an additional AR-style rifle.
Also recovered during the search were ammunition of various calibers, and an amount of methamphetamine.
Sheriff's deputies charged Plandowski with the following:
- Three felony counts of Criminal Possession of a Loaded Firearm
- One felony count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon – Five or more
- One felony count of Criminal Possession of a Stolen Firearm
- One felony count of Criminal Possession of a Firearm
- One misdemeanor count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance
The defendant is being held at the Erie County Holding Center pending his arraignment.
Buffalo Police initiated the investigation, and it was the lead agency for the operation.
