Lackawanna woman arrested for hit-and-run in Highmark Stadium parking lot

Orchard Park, N.Y. (WBEN) - Orchard Park police have made an arrest of a Lackawanna woman after allegedly striking another person with her vehicle, then fleeing the scene.

At approximately 10:34 p.m. on Thursday, the Orchard Park Police Dispatch Center received notification that there was an individual struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of the old Highmark Stadium along Southwestern Boulevard.


Upon arrival, patrols located the victim, who was unconscious in the parking lot, and began to render aid. The victim was eventually transported by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center with serious injuries.

It was reported to officers that the striking vehicle had fled the scene, but witnesses nearby were able to obtain a license plate and description of the vehicle in question.

A short time later, the striking vehicle was located in the City of Lackawanna by Orchard Park and Lackawanna police officers.

The female driver of the vehicle, 27-year-old QuaJohn Prude, was taken into custody by officers and was returned to the Orchard Park Police station while the investigation continued.

After the investigation concluded, it was determined that a physical altercation occurred in the lot between occupants of Prude's vehicle and members of the victim's party prior to the victim being struck by Prude's vehicle.

Prude has been charged with first-degree Assault with the intent to cause injury with a dangerous instrument. as well as leaving the scene of a serious physical injury accident.

She was arraigned in Orchard Park Town Court, and bail was set at $100,000. Prude was subsequently transported to the Erie County Holding Center.
