(WBEN Buffalo, NY) The Erie County Health Department twitted on Saturday that Erie County crossed the threshold from substantial to high transmission of Covid-19. That happens when you have over 100 cases per 100-thousand residents. Our number now stands at 101.
The latest Covid Numbers show the New York State 7-day positivity rate at 3.12-percent. Across the state there are 407 patients in ICU's.
The Western New York 7-day positivity rate is a little higher at 3.36-percent. As of the new numbers released for Friday another 187 people in Erie County tested positive for Covid.
Two new deaths were reported in Erie County.
