BUFFALO, N.Y. (WBEN).....A pair of North Buffalo apartment buildings - both of which were among the first to see a religious-anchored building retrofitted into apartments - have sold for a combined $3.8 million.
Sold for $2 million was the 12-unit Lofts at Warwick apartments at 700 Parkside Avenue -just one block north of Hertel Avenue.
The former North Park United Presbyterian Church, which was constructed in 1923, was renovated in 2009 by Dave Pawlik's Creative Structures Services.
Also sold, for $1.8 million, was the KLP Commons -13 unit complex at 786 Kenmore Avenue that was developed by Pawlik.
KLP Commons sits in the former Evangelical Covenant Church that was constructed in 1947.
Pawlik renovated the church into apartments in 2012.
Pawlik sold both properties to local investor Michael Hartke seven years ago and Hartke sold the Lofts at Warwick and KLP Commons to investors 700-786 Parkside Properties LLC.
