Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - A Williamsville man has pleaded guilty to engaging in sexual conduct with multiple children over the last few years while serving as a pastor of a chapel in Getzville.
47-year-old John Camardo III pled guilty Monday morning to one count of Rape in the Second Degree and one count of Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the Second Degree (Class D violent felonies).
According to the Erie County District Attorney's Office, between on or about April 1, 2024, and on or about May 31, 2024, Camardo engaged in sexual intercourse with a victim who was less than 15-years-old.
Then between on or about April 1, 2025, and on or about June 20, 2026, the defendant engaged in two or more acts of sexual conduct with a second victim who was less than 13-years-old.
Camardo is said to have been known to the victims.
He faces a determinate sentence between 6-to-8 years in prison when he is sentenced on Thursday, Sept. 10. He was held without bail.
Temporary orders of protection were issued on behalf of the victims.
