Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - A Buffalo man has been arraigned on a number of charges after a domestic dispute last week that led to the shooting of a child.
19-year-old Markus Wright is accused of possessing an illegal firearm that was discharged during the incident. The bullet grazed a 34-year-old man in the foot, but then traveled through the floor into a first-floor apartment, striking a 6-year-old child in the left shoulder
Wright is scheduled to return to court on Tuesday, July 21 at 9:30 a.m. for a pre-trial conference. He continues to be held without bail.
If convicted of the highest count, Wright faces a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison.
