
Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - A 32-year-old man was shot and killed on Buffalo's East Side Monday night.
Police responded to the 100 block of Olympic Avenue around 9:24 p.m. Monday and found the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
No arrests have been made.
Masten District Council Woman Zeneta Everhart released the following statement regarding the shooting:
“My heart breaks for the family and loved ones of the 32-year-old man who was shot and killed on Olympic Avenue last night. While our city has made significant progress reducing violent crime and shootings over the past couple of years, the tragedy last night was a stark reminder that one loss of life is still too many, and we have to come together in order to end gun violence and save lives. We must find more love and compassion for each other.
As always, I urge anyone with information about this crime to cooperate with law enforcement so that we can ensure justice is served and prevent further bloodshed.
I express my deepest condolences to all those impacted by this awful tragedy.”
