Wheatfield, N.Y. (WBEN/AP) A sad story out of Wheatfield in Niagara County where law enforcers were called out early Saturday morning to a crime scene on Hill Road.
The Niagara County Sheriff's Office received a third party call reporting a father and son domestic incident at the address. The caller reported that he believed the son killed the father.
Upon the arrival, Bryan W. Cummings, 42, of Wheatfield was standing outside the residence and was detained by patrol without incident. Inside, police say a male was found unresponsive on the floor with multiple lacerations. Emergency medical assistance was administered, but the male was pronounced deceased. The victim is identified as Ward A. Cummings, 61, of Wheatfield.
Bryan W. Cummings is charged with Murder in the Second Degree, a Class A-I Felony and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree, a Class D Felony. The male is Cummings is being held pending arraignment.
