Wheatfield, N.Y. (WBEN) - A Niagara Falls man was arrested after leading police on a multi-jurisdictional pursuit early Thursday morning.
The Niagara County Sheriff's Office says a patrol spotted 51-year-old Michael Oden speeding on Niagara Falls Boulevard in Wheatfield at 3:50am Thursday. Police tried a traffic stop but Oden fled, starting the pursuit.
Oden led police from Wheatfield through multiple towns before the chase eventually came to an end in the parking lot of VA Hospital in Buffalo.
Passengers in Oden's vehicle were released and the vehicle was impounded.
Oden is charged with Unlawful Fleeing in a Motor Vehicle, Obstruction of Governmental Administration , Reckless Driving and numerous vehicle and traffic law violations. He was released on appearance tickets after being processed at Niagara County Correctional Facility.
