Mario Lopez to return to Buffalo for another holiday movie

Buffalo, NY (WBEN) WNY's film community will get another spark from Mario Lopez. He'll be returning to film another holiday movie later this year.

Last year, Lopez filmed "A Christmas Spark" for Great American Family in Western New York, and Tim Clark, Buffalo Niagara Film Commissioner, says the region has a place in Lopez's heart. " I'm told that Mario has kind of fallen in love with the place, which is a great thing to hear," says Clark, adding Lopez's son came up to work on a couple of movies as well.

Lopez will be co-starring with Tony Danza, who was originally cast for another movie made in WNY. "Tony was originally announced to be in the Buffalo Bills Hallmark movie last year, and was unable to make his commitment to that. So we missed out last year, but we're going to see Tony this year, and I think it'll be a fun way to get a lot of movie action going," says Clark. All Clark can say about the movie is this will be another holiday themed movie.

Clark says producers were scouting earlier and will be back next week to find shooting locations.
