Buffalo, NY (WBEN) Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown released a statement Sunday trying to distance himself from controversial local developer Carl Paladino as he weighs a potential write-in campaign after losing the Democratic Primary to India Walton last week.
In his statement, Brown said that he was appreciative of the support he's been given over the past few days but, "...I want to be very clear that I did not seek, nor will I accept support in any form, should I decide to pursue a write-in campaign, from Carl Paladino."
There has been speculation that Paladino would be one of many city business leaders to help Brown in financing such a campaign. On the other hand, Paladino has also speculated that he may run his own write-in campaign for Mayor in the upcoming November campaign.
