Amherst, N.Y. (WBEN) - Town of Amherst Police say a migrant living in a hotel was involved in a fight and now faces charges.
Sunday evening at around 6:30 p.m. ET, police say they responded to the Red Roof Inn Plus at 42 Flint Road for a reported fight, possibly involving a knife. Officers arriving at the scene determined there was no knife involved, but one of the parties tried to use a roofing nail during the fight.
Police arrested 35-year-old Daniel Narvaez-Velasqu, who is residing at the hotel, and charged him with attempted assault, menacing and criminal possession of a weapon.
